Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle and Moira Barton have been at each other’s throats in recent weeks and some fans are convinced their marriage is over for good after a huge clue
Emmerdale fans are gobsmacked as they predict a shock split for power couple Cain and Moira Dingle with their marriage on the brink.
The pair have been at loggerheads ever since Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) nephew Samson Dingle, played by Sam Hall, framed Moira’s (Natalie J Robb) ad Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) for a stabbing, landing him in the slammer.
Under pressure from local bad boy Josh Cope, portrayed by Osian Morgan, young Samson falsely claimed to the coppers that Matty attacked him on purpose, leading to Matty’s nightmarish prison ordeal.
A frantic Moira was determined to clear her son’s name while Matty suffered inside, but when the truth eventually came out, she couldn’t bring herself to forgive Samson.
Meanwhile, hard man Cain was seen teaching his nephew how to handle himself in jail, which only ignited Moira’s fury further, especially when she caught them sparring.
She lashed out at her hubby for what she saw as betrayal of her innocent son, backing Samson. The plot thickened as Samson finally stood up to bully Josh, getting himself nicked in the process, reports the Express.
After witnessing Moira cracking a smile as the police carted Samson off, Cain confronted her back at home leading to a fiery dispute where Moira lobbed a glass his way.
The following day, tensions hit boiling point as Moira, fuming about Samson, stated coldly: “They should throw away the key”, blaming Cain for making things worse by prepping Samson for prison life.
“So now this is all my fault? ” Cain fired back, only to get a biting comeback from Moira, who slammed him for turning Samson into “another thug which their family didn’t need.”
The tension between Cain and Moira’s got fans convinced that the couple’s days are numbered. One such fan took to social media, posting: “Not saying this is right BUT the way they’re turning Moira’s character and Cain and her always arguing usually means there’s an affair on the way or something else equally daft on the cards.”
Another Emmerdale fan huffed: “Of course it was Moira…. oh dear, her and Cain may breakup over this #Emmerdale”, while someone else added: “Moira really is very nasty. She’s Jekyll and Hyde. Pack your bags Cain #Emmerdale.”
One commented: “SO BORED of this endless cycle of Cain and Moira arguing then making up. Moira has been so vile to her husband recently that it’s getting unbelievable that he forgives her and they get back together.”
And rounding off the outrage, another soap watcher vented: “Moira has turned into a nasty spiteful cow, loved her and Cain together but now I hope he leaves her @emmerdale #Emmerdale”.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
